My name is Rebekah, everyone calls me B. I grew up on the East Side of Chicago and lived there for eighteen years until my family moved two and a half years ago to NW Indiana. I’m currently pursuring the purchase of my own place to live.

I have two dogs; Judah was my first dog and is still my most beloved. She’s two and a half and a mutt–Rottweiler x Shepherd x Labrador x Everything else. She’s a bit of everything…and my heart. My second dog was by accident. His owner was trying to get rid of him at the shelter where I volunteer and take photos … they turned him away because they’re no-kill and have a waiting list. So I chased him down in the parking lot without stopping to think and took the 5-month-old brindle pit bull cowering on the asphalt under the truck. He’s gained nearly thirty pounds in my care and all of the skin problems (mysterious bumps from head to toe and patches of fur missing) are gone now and he’s just gorgeous. He and Judah love each other and Judah couldn’t be happier now that she has a canine companion. Israel is what I named him–Israel Conri Hamza Wenceslas.

I also have a cat named Omaha Siobhan Gable Radcliffe. I love names. She’s a 3-year-old grey striped domestic shorthair stray…and she loves to eat fake flowers.

My current job is as a nanny for a wealthy couple. The boy is already one and it’s mindboggling to think of him when I first started sitting him–just this blob of chubbiness that couldn’t even crawl. Now he loves to play chase. It’s a great job and I wouldn’t trade it for pretty much anything else in the world.

My current pet project: 365 Days on Flickr.
